Vintage Lowell Weicker Gov Bumper Sticker Lot Of 2 Connecticut State Income Tax . Condition is New. Shipped with USPS First Class Package.  Listed as new because they were never applied, but there is a little age wear.
Lowell Weicker ran for Governor of Connecticut on a campaign that PROMISED to not create a state income tax.  He had a very infamous commercial where he stated, "a state income tax would be adding fuel to the fire".  Not long after becoming Governor, he signed a state income tax into law. Nice, huh?
And thus these types of bumper stickers were born.
Hard to find,  bad memory for Connecticut, but still a cool piece of political memoriabilia.
