    Description

    This is a vintage postcard featuring the Hotel Berwick in Rutland, Vermont.
    The postcard has a linen finish color picture featuring the hotel exterior.
    The picture has several vintage cars on the street in front of the hotel.
    At the top it says Hotel Berwick, Center St., Rutland, Vt.
    The back of the card says that the Berwick has 110 rooms which are modern and artistically decorated.
    It has printed up the center Genuine Curteich-Chicago “C. T. Art Colortone.”
    The Berwick Hotel was built in 1868 at the intersection of Center Street and Wales Street with two additions added later in the century.
    It burned to the ground in 1973.
    The postcard measures about 3½” x 5½”.
    It was mailed to Clarks Summit, Pa., and is postmarked Rutland, VT, May 31, 1955.
    The postcard is in very good condition.
    There are no creases or tears and only very minor wear at the corners.
