    Description

    NATIVE AMERICAN
ZUNI BEADED MAIDEN BY ANITA MAHKEE
Zuni beadwork has evolved from tourist souvenirs to detailed pieces of folk art.  First the Zuni artists carve a wooden form and then they bead over it, using the peyote stitch and seed or glass beads.  With a continuous strand, Zuni beaders meticulously create beautiful patterns throughout their beadwork.  This lovely Maiden was hand beaded by Anita Mahkee. (note-the doll wobbles a little, needs a flat surface to sit)
    6” tall x 3  3/8” long x 3” wide
    Artist card included
