I go through alot of standard reachers and grabbers, which are handy but break too easily. This one is a different design, which is alot sturdier. Perhaps not as good at picking up tiny things like coins or earrings, but fine for retrieving things like books, sweaters, and remotes which I am forever knocking off tables or dropping next to my recliner.
People are nasty, and throw trash out of their cars in our neighborhood. I never understood that. These grabbers work great for picking up trash in our ditches. Heavy duty and I now I don’t have to get in the ditch to pick them up with gloves. However I would not pick a snake up with them. Not saying that it wouldn’t work for that, I’ll leave the snakes alone.
A perfect item that fills many needs. Bought this item to pick up sticks and such in my yard with many trees. It does a good job and is light duty. Sometimes it is good to stretch, bend, etc...other times not so much. Came assembled and very practical, even indoors. I would buy it again!
