Althea Clark is a San Carlos Apache Tribe and lives in San Carlos Reservation.
I first learned how to bead was through my neighbor Carolyn Cepress Tapia. She showed me the many colors and designs on what they all meant. I love beading and enjoy working on all different kinds of beadwork, earring necklace, ID holder, phone pop socket and etc.
    Materia
l:  The beading is done on ID holder with string retriever using glass seed and other beads.
    Size
    :  2.7x2.3"
    Culture
: The merchants who came with the conquistadores brought colorful beads and traded with the Natives. Because of the brightness of the colors, the indigenous people created jewelry and adorned their bodies with them. Then they began decorating household items and other things with the beads.
