3-way valves are usually used as mixing valves, where the required temperature is achieved by mixing the appropriate proportion of hot water from the boiler with cool return water. The 3-way valves can also be used as diverting or switching valves when it is required to divide the water stream from the boiler into two circuits, e.g. to the heating system and the domestic hot water tank. The new ARV 3-way valves perform even better in this application thanks to the improved internal structure. The improved design allows for significantly less internal leakage, while maintaining a low required torque.
The new ARV 3-way rotary mixing valves with female thread are made of brass. The connections have the form of an octagon, which makes it easier to install with a hydraulic wrench. The valves are equipped with handwheels for manual adjustment and angle of rotation limiters to facilitate proper setting. A legible scale on the knob cover allows you to precisely determine the degree of valve opening. One side is printed with a "0 to 10" scale, and on the other side a "10 to 0" scale. This enables the valve to operate in various mounting positions. The thickened section of the knob circumference reflects the position of the obturator inside the valve. The knob is made of non-slip material. The elements made of durable plastic under the knob are used to connect the new ARV valves with the new ARM actuators. Thanks to them, the actuators are mounted in the ProClick system, without the use of tools. ARV valves require low torque to rotate.
