    Description

Here is an excellent condition, 1970 Jose Oribe Concert Classical Guitar.
It was hand-built by Jose Oribe in his Inglewood, California workshop.
Jose Oribe guitars are known to be some of the most precisely crafted guitars in the world. This particular instrument is rare among his guitars from this era, as it uses a European Spruce top. Only about 10% of his guitars from this time used a Spruce soundboard, according to Oribe's book "The Fine Guitar," as Red Cedar and Redwood were the new trend.
The guitar is built with the highest standards found in every Oribe guitar. The overall condition of this guitar is excellent. This hand crafted guitar was built using solid Brazilian rosewood for the back and sides, a Mahogany neck and a European Spruce top. The rosette is a subtle design, which compliments the rest of the instrument's style.
There are no cracks in the back, sides or top of this guitar. The finish of the top, back and sides is completely original and has just been lightly cleaned and polished.
Scale length on this guitar is 658 millimeters. This scale length gives the guitar easy playability, with a little extra power. Nut width is 52 millimeters.
The ebony fretboard and is in excellent condition. Action on the 12th fret low E string is 3.0 millimeters and the 12th fret high E string measures 2.5 millimeters.
The guitar has been refretted to bring ease of play and intonation up to the standard of such a fine instrument.
The stamped and signed original label is in excellent condition.
This guitar features its original engraved Landstorfer tuning keys. They are in very good condition and hold tune well.
The guitar will be carefully packed and shipped in its original hard shell case inside a sturdy box.
