Description
Maker: These 12 luncheon plates by the Limoges firm Ancienne Manufacture Royale come from a company with a rich history. It has been making porcelain since 1767 and was the first factory in Limoges to specialize in porcelain production and to mark its products “Limoges”. In 1784, it became part of the Sèvres factory. It is now part of the renowned Limoges firm L. Bernardaud.
All 12 plates have the Ancienne Manufacture Royale mark; four also have the green circle mark “Limoges France”.
The number 73 is stamped on the reverse of each plate in blue. One has a small paper label with the number 16.
Design
: Stylized pink and blue flowers and grey-green leaves on pure white porcelain seamlessly combine the modern with the traditional in an elegant contemporary design.
The pattern, identified as Multi Floral (number 15433) by replacements.com, was produced only from 1991 to 1992, making it very scarce.
Size
: The plates are 7 3/4 inches wide.
Condition
: If they have ever been used, there is no evidence of it. They are in fine condition with no marks, nicks, chips, scratches, cracks, repairs, stains or signs of utensil use, just a slight roughness on the edge of one plate.
Please check all the photos very carefully – they are an important part of the description.
